I hope you all had either a productive, fun, or restful weekend! What ever you were up to, I hope you were maintaining safe social distancing. It's been challenging coming up with activities to keep busy at home, but one of my favorites so far is making cupcakes. I'm not saying its healthy in any way, but it sure is delicious!! In order to balance the cupcake diet, I have been on my bicycle a whole lot more. That's been fun, too!!
Moving forward with science class, we are going to have a couple of new introductions. First, I am going to move our communication from this site to google classroom. I will always be available through email ([email protected]), but I think it would be easier to communicate through google classroom. Use the drop down menu above to find your class period and follow the code to get to your google classroom for science. You should be able to access your "TCI Science" assignment. Email me if you are unable to sign on to TCI or access science class on google classroom.
Also, we will be using an online textbook. Since this is new to us both, it may take a little time to figure it all out. Sign in to "Clever" and find the "TCI" Science button. You should be able to access and start your assignments. If not, send me a message through google classroom (or an email). Be patient and thoughtful with your communication. Remember, "Team work makes the dream work!!".
My "office hours" will be 8:30-10:30 Monday through Friday. I will be able to help with any issues during these hours. Of course, I will always be available through email.
I miss you all!!! Be safe, smart, and healthy :-)

Hello!!! I hope ya'll are doing well :-)
I know it's been a little bit of an adjustment over the past week getting used to how we must limit contact with each other, but caution is the smart approach.
I have been busy not only teaching my daughter at home, but also getting together 6th and 8th grade science lessons for ya'll so you can continue to learn about climate and weather patterns in 6th grade, and the solar system and waves in 8th grade. I am working on making a textbook available online, but until then please come to this website for your assignments.
Each Monday I will post new lessons for each grade level. Just like before, go to "assignments" under the grade level drop down menu above. If you need to chat, I will be available M-F from 8:30-10:30 AM. Please email me ([email protected]) and we can set up a time during these hours. Of course, If you just have a question I will also be replying to email just like normal.
I know this is very new territory, but I'm looking forward to continuing everyones education online until we are back in the classroom. Hopefully that is soon!!!
Remember, with everybody's cooperation we will reduce the risk of many people becoming sick.
Be smart, be safe, and be healthy!!!
Truly,
